On the hill of the mills we find the parish church of the Pammegiston Taxiarches, which was built in the 15th or 17th century. There are scattered reports, without documentation, which attribute the building of the original church to the 9th century AD on the site of the ruined church of Demeter of Chthonia. The church belongs to the type of composite domed cross in square type and has historically been associated with the appointment of the proxies of the Third National Assembly.
