The non-profit association Group for the Study, Research & Dissemination of Culture (OM.E.DI.PO.) in cooperation with the Municipality of Ermionida and the Municipal Community of Portocheli and with the financial and moral support of the Association Friends of Portocheli (S. F.F.I.P.), holds every year, in Portocheli, the Portocheli International Festival of Art and Culture, which was founded in 1988 by the pianist and music teacher George Manesis. Within the framework of the Cultural August, the Festival offers high quality artistic events to the public
The Festival opens its doors with free entrance to the citizens and visitors of the Municipality of Ermionida and the Municipal Community of Portocheli. The event is attended by accomplished and internationally recognized artists and young up- and-coming artists from different countries (USA, Norway, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Belgium, Romania, Albania) including Greece and takes place at the Manesis estate.
